Telehealth refers to medical consultations by the doctors over the phone or via videoconferencing. These consultations were previously only available to patients and their families living in rural or remote areas outside the major cities with limited access to specialist medical care.
Telehealth has become an integral part of health care during the Covid-19 pandemic to ensure ongoing care at primary as well as specialist level. It is available to patients/carers who are unwell, unable to attend their usual consultation in clinic, and maintain physical/social distancing.
Our patients and their families can expect the same professional care (except physical examination) via Telehealth consultations as they would acquire from a face-to-face consultation, if it is clinically appropriate. Skin prick tests can be arranged at a later date following the consultation.
Please note that not all Telehealth consultations are eligible for a Medicare rebate. Please call our clinic for more information about Telehealth Consultations.
Video consultation on ZOOM/Google MEET (using mobile phone or computer). We will email you the link that will enable you to launch the Telehealth videoconferencing session over an internet browser. To make a Telehealth appointment, please contact us on (02) 7226 1450.
Please ensure that you are available to answer the call at the time that the booking has been made for.
