Specialist Allergy Dietitian

Wendy has worked over 25 years in a variety of paediatric, adult in hospital as well as community settings. she is available to do face to face as well telehealth consultation. She provides a comprehensive dietary and nutritional assessment and provides an individualised nutrition plan, evidence based dietary information, and recipes.

An initial assessment is 1 hour with follow up appointments of 30-60 minutes as required.

An initial long consultation of 1.5 hours may be required for complex issue such as, feeding difficulties, including observation of your child’s feeding or complex allergic conditions, such as eosinophilic oesophagitis.

Rebates (choose one only if applicable):

  1. A Medicare rebate: Please bring a valid Chronic Disease Management Plan provided by your GP and a valid Medicare card. Our office can claim the rebate and transfer it directly into your account. For further information, please contact our reception or speak with your GP.
  2. You may be entitled to claim a rebate for consultations through your health fund, depending on your level of extras cover. Please contact your health fund to determine eligibility for rebates.

Wendy has an extensive knowledge of cooking and meal planning, which is especially helpful for families managing their child’s food allergies or difficult eating behaviours, without compromising their nutrition. She also helps with the family mealtime dynamics, meal planning for the whole family and minimising any stress around mealtimes.

Wendy provides the following services for children:

  • Food allergies or intolerances
  • “Fussy eating” behaviours
  • Failure to thrive
  • Gastrointestinal conditions such as constipation, reflux, lactose intolerance, IBS, coeliac disease.
  • Nutritional deficiencies e.g., iron deficiency
  • Tube feeding and tube weaning
  • Weight management
  • Sensory eating behaviour
  • Autism
  • Eosinophilic Oesophagitis (EoE)
  • Nutritional issues with an NDIS plan – All dietetic services are charged according to the claimable price guide set by NDIA. Reports for NDIS funding can be requested.

  • Vegetarian, vegan diets
