Dr Shankar Anand specialises in the treatment and management of diseases in babies through to adolescents that result from abnormalities of the immune system. His practice includes the investigation and management of food allergy and intolerances, anaphylaxis, allergic rhinitis and inhalant allergy, drug allergy, urticaria and angioedema, eczema, immunodeficiencies and autoimmune disease. He performs diagnostic skin prick testing as well as allergen immunotherapy.
He is a dual trained paediatrician and completed his General Paediatric and Allergy and Immunology training at three leading tertiary paediatric hospitals, Sydney Children’s Hospital, Westmead Children’s Hospital and Queensland Children’s Hospital and holds a fellowship with the Royal Australasia College of Physicians. He is a member of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) and has attended and presented at a variety of national conferences.
