COVID-19

Important information regarding Covid-19 for patients and people attending The Children’s Allergy and Specialists Clinic Norwest.

The Children’s Allergy and Specialists Clinic is operating as normal during the lockdown as per NSW Health guidelines.

For the safety of the patients, their families, and the staff at The Children’s Allergy and Specialists Clinic Norwest, we have taken a number of steps to be followed in the clinic. We will follow the NSW Covid-19 Safety Plan.

Please do not come to your appointment and inform the reception, if

  • You or your child have any cold/flu symptoms including cough, fever, headache, etc.
  • You or your child or a member of your household have been a contact or close contact as deemed by the NSW Health and are required to self isolate.
  • You or your child or a member of your household have had a contact or close contact as deemed by the NSW Health and haven’t got a negative COVID test.
  • You or your child have travelled to or returned from overseas in the last 14 days.

The clinic will continue to be open and operate normally for face-to-face appointments, however the following policies and procedures have been implemented to ensure safety of patients/parents/carers and staff.

  • Only one parent/carer to accompany the child for the appointment.
  • You are required to sign in using NSW Covid-19 QR code at the clinic entrance before entering the clinic.
  • All parents and patients over 12 years of age will be required to wear a mask inside the clinic.
  • If for medical or personal reasons you are unable to wear a mask, then your appointment will need to be rescheduled or you will be offered a telehealth appointment if possible.
  • Please use the hand sanitizer provided in the clinic upon entering and leaving the clinic.
  • Handshake is discouraged.
  • Please maintain a social distance of 1.5 metres.
  • No toys will be available in the waiting area.
  • If the waiting area allowable capacity for number of persons is reached then you will be asked to wait outside or in your car. Once your turn comes then you will be called for your appointment.
